The Basilisk and Ginny Materials
The basilisk head is structured with chicken wire and expanding foam.  The body is structured with chicken wire and a cat play tube. For the coil, I used an upside-down plastic planter, cardboard and chicken wire.  The skin is made from foam clay textured using an embossing rolling pin for the back and for the larger scales on the belly I made a texture rolling pin using hot glue on a plain rolling acrylic rolling pin . The eyes are made from LED bike lights. The saliva in the mouth was made with hot glue. Ginny's diary is made from a book box covered with faux leather and corner protectors made from gold card.

This was before I knew I could sew, so, I had the dress custom-made by a lovely dressmaker on ETSY, Coral, who I highly recommend as she did an amazing job. I made the necklace by mixing fimo jade green, blue ice quartz, opal, and translucent fimo clays. The earrings were made from clip-on hoops and painted fimo clay. I used orange fabric paint on blue velvet ribbon for the hair bows. For the scarf, I used Inkjet Printable Iron On T Shirt and fabric Transfer Paper For Dark Fabrics 5 A4 Sheets to put on the pattern which I recreated in Photoshop.
